Wife of Texas AG Ken Paxton Files for Divorce ‘On Biblical Grounds’ – EVOL

Texas state Sen. Angela Paxton announced Thursday that she has filed for divorce from her husband of 38 years, Attorney General Ken Paxton, citing “biblical grounds” and the need to protect her family.

“I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation,” Angela Paxton wrote.
“But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage.”

Ken Paxton: Under Fire But Still Fighting

Ken Paxton, a Trump-aligned conservative fighter, is currently challenging Senator John Cornyn in what’s shaping up to be a high-stakes Texas GOP Senate primary.

Paxton was impeached by the Texas House in 2023 over allegations of corruption, including accusations related to an extramarital affair. He was ultimately acquitted by the Texas Senate, which includes his wife as a member.

Paxton has denied wrongdoing and maintains that the attacks against him are political hit jobs by establishment Republicans and Democrats.
