A White House insider has issued a warning to Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris as the vice president continues to hide from the press.
Michael Larosa, former press secretary to First Lady Jill Biden, said Harris is making a mistake by hiding from the press this election cycle, the Daily Caller reported.
The White House insider warns that voters will “lose trust” if Harris continues to shun the media.
Larosa made his remarks on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
It came after Harris gave her first interview since becoming the Democrat presidential nominee.
Harris sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash for a pre-recorded and heavily edited interview with a friendly network.
She refused to do the interview solo and had her running mate, Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, holding her hand throughout.
Larosa thinks this kind of selective silence is a mistake that President Joe Biden ultimately paid for when he tried it.
