“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart accidentally sliced his hand open while smashing a mug in anger at President Biden and his indecisive news, which Stewart has long credited with getting President Trump elected.
Stewart opened Monday’s show by pretending to be a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer and taking a clear dig at Elon Musk and his 13 children by pulling out a calculator and a “World’s Most Dad” mug. The left-wing comedian then said the initiatives audits and cost-cutting recommendations should focus on subsides provided to corporations before turning to former President Biden for once bragging about cutting costs of just 10 drugs.
“F***king thanks! Come on!” he yelled before smashing the mug on his desk in dramatic fashion as a photo of the former president remained onscreen. After continuing the monologue for a moment or so, Stewart appeared to be in pain as he placed his hand under the desk. “I’ll be going to the hospital soon,” he then joked.
