Women’s soccer Maddy Cusack has been found dead at just 27 years old, according to reports.
Police say the sudden death of the popular Sheffield United player is not being treated as suspicious.
Derbyshire Police confirmed officers were called to an address in Horsley just after 6.35 pm last Wednesday where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now helping prepare a file for Chesterfield Coroner in Derbyshire.
A force spokesperson said: “A woman, in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Her family are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
