UPDATE: Georgia Judge Scott McAfee Allows Trump to Appeal Fani Willis Disqualification Decision – EVOL

On Wednesday, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee declared that President Trump and his co-defendants have the option to appeal the Fani Willis disqualification decision.

Last Friday, Judge Scott McAfee ruled that District Attorney Fani Willis can proceed with her RICO case against Trump and his associates.

In a 23-page ruling, Judge McAfee ordered Fani Willis to address the “appearance of impropriety” before the case can move forward. McAfee determined that Willis can remain involved in the case but must dismiss Nathan Wade, her romantic partner and the lead prosecutor she hired to pursue Trump.

Later on Friday afternoon, Nathan Wade stepped down from his role in the RICO case.

The Georgia Court of Appeals has a 45-day window to render a decision regarding any appeal made against the judge’s disqualification order.

Trump’s attorney, Steve Sadow, described Judge McAfee’s decision as “highly significant.”

“The defense is optimistic that appellate review will lead to the case being dismissed and the DA being disqualified,” he said.
