In recent months, rumors have been swirling regarding who President Donald Trump will pick to run as his running mate for the coming November election.

Trump has several high-profile names on his shortlist for vice president.

One of those outsider picks is former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.

Gabbard was formerly a Democrat who left her party in a blaze of glory.

Some political observers believe that Gabbard has the ability to appeal to certain demographics — especially suburban female voters — that Trump struggles to reach or convince.
