President-elect Donald Trump has taken another vicious swipe at Justin Trudeau, teasing the Canadian prime minister about his weak bargaining position against a second Trump administration.
In a post on Truth Social, the Republican mockingly thanked the liberal Trudeau for recently meeting with him at Mar-a-Lago and reportedly discussing the two countries’ trade agreements and border securitization methods. The meeting came after Trudeau called an “emergency meeting” with his Cabinet in response to President-elect Trump promising to rein in Canada’s tariffs on U.S. goods while threatening to absorb Trudeau’s country into his if certain demands weren’t met. He echoed that threat on Tuesday. “It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada.
