Trump to Meet with Chinese Leader Xi Jinping at South Korea APEC Summit Next Month – EVOL

President Donald Trump announced Friday that he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea next month.

The news comes following what the president described as a “very productive” phone call between the two leaders.

The bilateral meeting will take place during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Seoul on October 31 and November 1.

It marks the first face-to-face discussion between Trump and Xi since the president returned to the White House for his second term.

Trump said he also agreed to visit China in early 2026 and that Xi would make a reciprocal trip to the United States “at an appropriate time.”

President Trump’s Announcement

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:

“I also agreed with President Xi that we would meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea, that I would go to China in the early part of next year, and that President Xi would likewise come to the United States at an appropriate time.

“The call was a very good one.

“We will be speaking again by phone, and we appreciate the TikTok approval.

“Both [sides] look forward to meeting at APEC!” he added.
