Trump says Israel has agreed for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza – EVOL

President Donald Trump confirmed Tuesday that Israel has agreed to the key terms of a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and bluntly warned Hamas that they better take the deal—because the alternative will be far more devastating.

Trump made the announcement as preparations ramp up for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the White House, scheduled for Monday. The meeting comes as Trump intensifies pressure on both Israel and Hamas to strike a temporary truce and resolve ongoing hostage negotiations amid a brutal war that has raged for months.

In a forceful statement posted Tuesday afternoon, the President said U.S. envoys had just wrapped a “long and productive” meeting with Israeli officials and secured a framework for a pause in hostilities.

“Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-day CEASEFIRE,” Trump wrote, adding that Qatar and Egypt are expected to deliver the final terms to Hamas leadership. “During that time, we will work with all parties to END the War.”

But Trump didn’t mince words for the terror group currently holding both Israeli and foreign hostages.
