Trump Ramps Up Pressure on Putin to Secure Peace Deal with Ukraine – EVOL

President Donald Trump, on Monday, made it clear that his patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin is running out as the war in Ukraine continues to rage with no resolution in sight.

Speaking alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland, Trump expressed his “disappointment” with Putin.

The president declared he was shortening Putin’s deadline for a peace deal, now pushing for results in just 10 to 12 days.

Trump’s frustration with Putin was evident as he described the ongoing violence in Ukraine.

“Every time we think we’ve made progress with Putin, he launches another rocket into some city like Kyiv, killing people, even in places like nursing homes,” Trump said.

“Bodies lying all over the street—that’s not the way to do it.”

He underscored his resolve to see a peaceful resolution to the conflict, adding:

“We just don’t see any progress being made.”

This marks a shift in Trump’s approach.

Originally, he had set a 50-day timeline for Putin to reach a peace agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

However, the deadline now seems to be shrinking due to Russia’s continued aggression.

Trump made it clear that there is no reason to wait any longer for a breakthrough in negotiations.
