President Donald Trump on Friday announced that negotiations to end the Israel-Hamas war are on the verge of a breakthrough.
The president told reporters that he believes a peace agreement has been reached that will “end the war.”
“It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza, and we’ll let you know,” Trump said as he departed the White House.
“I think it’s a deal that will get the hostages back.
“It’s going to be a deal that will end the war.”
“It’s going to be peace,” he added.
“I think we have a deal.”

The president’s remarks follow his unveiling of a 21-point initiative earlier this week.
Trump revealed the initiative during meetings with Arab leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
