Trump Confirms Arms for Ukraine U-Turn Days After Pentagon Halts Delivery – EVOL

In a sharp about-face, President Donald Trump announced Monday night that the U.S. will resume arms shipments to Ukraine, declaring:

“We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves.”

The statement comes just days after his own Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth froze further deliveries of Patriot missiles, artillery shells, and precision munitions, warning that America’s stockpiles are dangerously low.

Speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said Ukraine is getting “hit very hard” and urgently needs “defensive weapons.”

“So many people are dying in that mess,” Trump added, hinting at renewed U.S. involvement.

The Pentagon’s own Elbridge Colby recently exposed how Biden-era policies drained American weapons stockpiles to the point of critical shortages.
