Vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz reportedly had a fling with the daughter of a Chinese Communist Party official’s daughter while he was in China, according to a new report.
The Daily Mail reported that when Walz took a trip to China in 1989 to teach, he had a fling with the daughter of a high-ranking Communist official at the time. Jenna Wang, 59, has made the claim that Walz gave her gifts, and seduced her at his temporary accommodations.
The two allegedly could not risk holding hands in public together or show any affection as Wang’s father was a high-ranking official in the Chinese Communist Party at the time and would have disowned her.
The outlet reported that the relationship grew behind closed doors as they shared time together, which led the then-24-year-old to think about long-term plans of marriage, but it could not happen at the time. Wang claimed that the shame of being treated “like a prostitute” led her to have thoughts of suicide and growing anger.
