The Supreme Court ruled 7–2 on Thursday to lift a Biden judge’s order that blocked the Trump administration from deporting eight violent illegal aliens currently detained in Djibouti.
The case marks a major win for President Trump and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which had been forced to detain the criminals in dangerous and degrading conditions after a lower court stepped in to halt their removal.
Justice Elena Kagan sided with the Court’s conservatives. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, joined by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, issued a furious dissent, accusing the majority of enabling the government to “flout” due process.
But in a victory for American national security, the high court ruled that the Trump administration has full authority to deport these illegal aliens, despite the lower court’s interference.
