Rep. Don Bacon signals ‘no’ vote on big beautiful bill after quitting re-election race – EVOL

Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon is now threatening to vote “NO” for the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” as it makes its way back to the House for final approval.

Bacon, a self-proclaimed “moderate” and one of the worst RINOs in Congress, declared this week that he is “not a ‘yes’ necessarily” on the bill, despite the GOP holding only a razor-thin 220–212 majority in the House.

His announcement comes just days after he revealed he won’t be seeking re-election in 2026, which many believe is a coward’s exit ahead of what would’ve been a humiliating MAGA primary defeat.

Now, with nothing to lose and no voters left to betray, Bacon may be gearing up to deliver one last slap in the face to the very people who sent him to Washington.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Bacon is “on the fence” and may oppose the final version of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” President Trump’s top legislative priority that would slash government bloat, supercharge military spending, fund mass deportations, and secure our southern border once and for all.

The Senate barely advanced the bill in a 51–49 vote and is now debating amendments before sending it
