Pro-Palestine activists disrupt Jewish group’s DNC event on antisemitism – EVOL

A small group of anti-Israel activists attempted to disrupt a Jewish event near the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Tuesday. The activists temporarily interrupted the gathering but were ultimately blocked from entering the event, which was organized by Agudath Israel of America.

The event focused on increasing voter turnout in the Orthodox Jewish community and addressing the rising issue of antisemitism in the United States. According to The Times of Israel, the event featured speeches from prominent figures such as Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow, Representative Josh Gottheimer, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, and the chairman of the DNC host committee.

The masked activists outside the event called for the dismantling of Israel, chanting slogans like, “Brick by brick, wall by wall, Zionism has got to fall,” and shouted “Shame on you” at those attending the event.

NJ Gov. Phil Murphy called antisemitism “right-wing behavior” at a Jewish event next to the DNC less than an hour after anti-Israel protesters attempted to crash it and were pushed into a stairwell.
