Actor Julian McMahon, widely recognized for his roles in Nip/Tuck and the Fantastic Four films, dead at the age of 56 following a private fight with cancer.

His wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement released to Deadline on Friday, July 4. She shared that Julian died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, in Clearwater, Florida.

“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly wrote. While she did not disclose the specific type of cancer, she described his fight as courageous and dignified.

Julian McMahon rose to fame in the early 2000s for his role as the slick, controversial plastic surgeon Dr. Christian Troy on FX’s Nip/Tuck, a performance that earned him widespread acclaim. He also portrayed the villainous Victor Von Doom in the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four films, solidifying his place in pop culture.

“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans,” Kelly added. “His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”
