Billionaire Elon Musk is quietly becoming one of the largest Republican megadonors of 2025—dropping tens of millions into conservative causes as his third-party fantasy fizzles.
On June 27, Musk wired $5 million to two GOP super PACs that support Republicans in the House and Senate.
The move instantly made him the top individual contributor to both PACs during the first half of this year, according to federal filings released Thursday.
That same day, he also sent $5 million to President Donald Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc.
In total, Musk shelled out over $45 million to his own America PAC between January and June. Of that, nearly $28 million came in the form of in-kind donations, while $17.9 million was handed over in cash. Some of that money funded $1 million “rewards” for voters who signed petitions.
America PAC burned through $47.3 million in that same six-month period, including $15.5 million in the first week of April alone. That week, the group dumped serious cash into the Florida special House elections and the Wisconsin state Supreme Court race.
