A tragic accident may explain the disappearance of 24-year-old student Agostina Rubini Medina, who was last seen two weeks ago while partying in Palma, Majorca, Spain. According to Spanish police, Medina likely passed out in a trash bin and was later crushed in a garbage truck before being incinerated.
Medina had been out with friends enjoying the night when she disappeared. Authorities believe that, after becoming heavily intoxicated, she may have ended up inside a trash bin. One theory is that she was looking for her phone or another item she may have dropped when she passed out.
Surveillance and witness reports provided more clues. A worker at a shop near a bus stop along her route home said that Medina, who appeared very drunk, had stopped to buy a bag of chips shortly before midnight. Later, a witness at the bus stop noticed Medina’s handbag and blouse neatly placed next to a large trash bin.
Tracking data from Medina’s phone revealed that it stayed in the same spot near the bin for about 30 minutes before moving toward the local incineration plant. The movement of her phone coincided with the schedule of a garbage truck that had
