Judge Aileen Cannon is gearing up to unseal motions filed by Trump related to the Mar-a-Lago raid and the unlawful order by Judge Beryl Howell, appointed by Obama, which breached Trump’s attorney-client privilege.
Cannon conducted a telephone status conference on Wednesday to expose Howell’s order that dismantled Trump’s attorney-client privilege.
Howell had earlier directed Evan Corcoran, Trump’s attorney, to testify before a grand jury as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.
Judge Howell turned Trump’s lawyer Eric Corcoran into a witness by nullifying Trump’s attorney-client privilege in a ruling.
Cannon is gearing up to release all the documents!
As we already reported, Tuesday afternoon, Cannon indefinitely postponed Jack Smith’s classified documents trial against Trump, following the Special Counsel’s admission of evidence tampering.
Judge Cannon established a second round of pre-trial deadlines to handle ongoing discovery and disclosure matters.
The judge canceled the trial date scheduled for May 20, 2024. It could be several months before Judge Cannon schedules a new trial date.
