A major chemical plant in Texas has exploded, with aerial video footage showing massive flames from a burning pipeline surging up into the sky.
The area around the plant in La Porte has been evacuated by authorities.
Emergency responders are battling to contain the wild inferno.
Aerial footage shows the severity of the blaze.

The incident has been confirmed in a statement on social media from the La Porte Office of Emergency Management.
The statement urges nearby residents to leave the area as firefighters battle the massive pipeline fire.
The La Porte Fire Department has already recommended an urgent evacuation of homes and businesses between Luella and Canada.
Thick plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing into the sky from miles around.
In a post on Facebook, the La Porte Office of Emergency Management wrote:
“Emergency responders are responding to a Pipeline Fire near Spencer Hwy and Summerton.
“The Fire Department is recommending an evacuation between Luella and Canada.
“Our office will update the community as more information is gathered.”
