Buffalo News editorial cartoonist Adam Zyglis is facing nationwide backlash after releasing a tone-deaf and hateful cartoon mocking the victims of the Texas flash flood disaster, which has already claimed at least 109 lives, including many children.
The cartoon — which Zyglis proudly posted to his Instagram account — shows a man drowning, wearing a MAGA hat, with a thought bubble that reads:
“Govt is the problem, not the solution.”
The implication? That Trump supporters deserved to die in the flood — a disgraceful insult to grieving families, many of whom lost daughters at Camp Mystic, a Christian girls’ summer camp.
Children Died — And the Left Mocked Them
Among the dead are young girls, camp counselors, and parents who were swept away when the Guadalupe River surged 30 feet in under an hour.
Survivors reported that counselors wrote the girls’ names on their bodies — not as a game, but in case they drowned.
This isn’t satire. It’s hatred.
