Vice President Kamala Harris announced that she has agreed to a second debate with former President Donald Trump, which will be hosted by CNN if formalized. Trump has stated that he has no interest in agreeing to a second debate, as he feels he did more than enough to win the initial, ABC News-hosted debate earlier this month.
CNN’s Caitlin Collins reported that Harris has accepted an invitation to debate Trump on October 23. Harris soon confirmed the report in an X post, stating that she is “gladly” accepting the invitation.

The debate would mirror first 2024 presidential debate between Trump and President Biden back in June. The historically early event was hosted by CNN hosts Dana Bash and Jake Tapper, and featured muted microphones for each candidate when the other was speaking.
