“The View” co-host Joy Behar has claimed that “democracy isn’t working” because Americans have been voting for President Donald Trump.
Behar claimed during Friday’s broadcast of the ABC propaganda show that American democracy stopped “working” when Trump returned to the White House after winning the 2024 election.
However, Behar argues that democracy “was working” when Democrat former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama were elected.
She made the remarks while citing polling that showed a majority of voters believe the U.S. is facing a political crisis and that democracy “isn’t working.”
Behar then blamed the nation’s problems squarely on Trump.
“So if you’re worried about where the country is heading, you’re not alone,” Behar said.
“Seventy-nine percent of American voters think that the U.S. is in a state of political crisis.
“And more than half think democracy isn’t working,” she added.
“It’s funny, under Obama and Biden, it was working.
“All of a sudden, it’s not working.
“Gee, what happened?!” she asked rhetorically.
Conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back.
Griffin suggested that Behar was misinterpreting the poll.
“I know, but I’m saying it!” Behar admitted
“I’m saying that!” she insisted.
Co-host Ana Navarro then weighed in.
