Former National Security Advisor John Bolton stated on Sunday that he believes Vice President Kamala Harris would maintain a foreign policy similar to that of President Joe Biden if she were to become president.
Bolton made these remarks during an appearance on John Catsimatidis’ radio show, “Cats Roundtable,” on WABC 770 AM, where he discussed U.S. foreign policy and the upcoming presidential election. Known for his frequent criticism of Donald Trump, Bolton criticized the Biden-Harris administration for its perceived “weakness,” highlighting the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. Marines and billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment falling into the hands of the Taliban. He also suggested that this “weakness” may have encouraged Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.
Bolton expressed doubts that Harris has given serious thought to her own foreign policy, implying that, as president, she would largely continue the policies she has supported as vice president. “Her administration would likely mirror another four years of Biden’s,” Bolton remarked.
“That’s the most accurate prediction one can make at this point,” he continued, “and it would leave us appearing weak and unreliable on the global stage.”
