Radical Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) brushed aside concerns about former President Joe Biden’s mental fitness on Wednesday.
The congresswoman told reporters she “never had a concern” during her time observing Biden while he was in office.
Her comments come even as House Republicans continue investigating allegations of a White House cover-up of Biden’s health.
Crockett, who joined House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) for a closed-door deposition with former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, stood by Biden’s cognitive abilities and dismissed his frequent verbal missteps as the result of a lifelong stutter.
“No, I had none,” Crockett responded when asked if she had any doubts about Biden’s mental capacity.
“I did have an opportunity to interact with the president. I never had a concern.”
Crockett admitted she wasn’t with the president daily but argued that Biden remained mentally sharp despite visible signs of aging.
“Now, Joe Biden is, what, 80-some years old?” she said.
“I mean, the 80-some-year-old version of Joe Biden versus the 20-something-year-old version of Joe Biden is a little different.
“And I’d imagine that I would be the same.
