Federal investigators have released photos of would-be Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh’s firing position outside Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course.
Routh, 58, set up position near the fifth hole of the former president’s golf course while he was playing a round on Sunday. The former president’s schedule was not known to the public, leading to speculation as to how Routh was able to obtain Trump’s location.
Routh was spotted by a Secret Service advance team positioned ahead of the former president, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw. It is standard practice for an advance team to be placed on the following holes ahead of the president as he makes his way around the course, Bradshaw explained.

When a Secret Service agent spotted a gun sticking out from a patch of shrubbery, the agent opened fire, causing the would-be assassin to flee. An eyewitness was able to obtain a description of the suspect, as well as his black SUV, as he fled the scene.
