Illegal Alien Arrested for Child Molestation after Being Released by 'Sanctuary City' – EVOL

An illegal alien has been arrested for molesting a child in Rhode Island and the dangerous foreign national was previously detained and released under “sanctuary city” laws last year.

Immigration authorities announced Friday that a Guatemalan man illegally living in the United States was arrested earlier this month for child sex abuse charges.

However, the criminal alien was previously detained on separate child sex abuse charges last year but was released under so-called “sanctuary” policies.

The unidentified man was taken into custody on Feb. 6 by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) removal agents.

He faces child sex crime charges in Providence, Rhode Island, ICE said.

Todd M. Lyons, director of the Boston field office of Enforcement Removal Operations, announced the charges.

In a statement, Lyons said:

“We will continue to apprehend and remove egregious offenders who prey on the most vulnerable in our society.”

Immigration authorities don’t know when the suspect entered the U.S.

He was arrested in Providence in March 2023 and charged with child molestation.

Immigration authorities lodged a detainer request for him with the Adult Correctional
