Ilhan Omar Reveals She Has No Idea What Memorial Day Means – EVOL

Radical Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has provoked a backlash after she issued a confusing statement revealing she has no idea who Memorial Day is meant to honor.

As most Americans already know, Memorial Day is for honoring and mourning the brave patriots in the U.S. military who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

However, in a statement shared on social media, Omar suggested that Memorial Day is meant to honor all “men and women who served our country.”

She continued by claiming that America shows its gratitude on Memorial Day by providing them with “access to quality mental health services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.”

However, as many pointed out on social media, those who gave their lives serving their country are not able to access these services.

Omar appeared to have confused Memorial Day with Veterans Day.

“On [Memorial Day], we honor the heroic men and women who served our country,” the Somalia-born congresswoman said in a post on X.

“We owe them more than our gratitude – they have more than earned access to quality mental health services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.”
