House Republicans are demanding Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., be stripped of her committee seats.
The move follows her controversial comments about Charlie Kirk after his assassination last week.
Carter’s Resolution
Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., introduced a resolution Monday.

It would remove Omar from the House Budget Committee and the Education and Workforce Committee.
Carter accused Omar of using rhetoric that disrespected Kirk’s legacy.
Carter said Omar’s remarks were “disgusting.”
He called Kirk “a God-fearing, honorable man.”
He said “committees are for serious lawmakers, not hate-spewing politicians.”
Mace’s Measure
Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., filed a separate resolution.
Her measure would censure Omar and strip her committee posts.
It cited Omar reposting a video calling Kirk a “stochastic terrorist.”
