Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem fired back at the creators of South Park after the show depicted her as a Botox-obsessed dog killer in its latest season.
The satirical jab came in the second episode, where Noem was shown shooting dogs while her face sagged due to excessive wrinkle treatment.
Speaking to conservative commentator Glenn Beck on his podcast, Noem called the content “lazy.”
She said she did not watch the episode, as she was busy working on budget numbers. Noem added that the show’s creators often pick petty personal attacks instead of criticizing her work.
“Always the liberals and extremists do that. If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead, but clearly they can’t,” she said.
The dog killings in the episode reference Noem’s real-life admission that she once put down her own puppy by shooting it.
The show depicted her leading Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents raiding a Dora the Explorer live show, per the Daily Mail.
In the scene, Noem shot a service dog while audience members were arrested. Afterwards, her face began to droop and sag before a pit crew of makeup artists rushed to fix her appearance.
