Hunter Biden has quietly taken on a new role with BASTA Universal, a Southern California nonprofit that advocates for tenants’ rights and works to prevent homelessness, especially for illegal immigrants, according to a recent interview posted Tuesday.
Speaking on the Channel 5 podcast with Andrew Callaghan, the president’s son revealed he is now serving as Director of Development for BASTA Universal, Inc., a spin-off organization of BASTA, which primarily serves low-income and illegal tenants in southern Los Angeles.

“I just think there is such an opportunity to be of service right now,” Biden told Callaghan.
“A lot of people are getting the s— beat out of them out there, right here in LA.”
Biden explained that his work with BASTA Universal focuses on helping vulnerable residents avoid eviction, which he sees as a key part of the homelessness prevention pipeline.
“If you can keep someone in their apartment or their home, you’re obviously also keeping someone off the street.”
