In an interview with Fox News following Kamala Harris’s keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump criticized Harris for not addressing the issues she now promises to tackle if elected president.
“Why didn’t she address the problems she’s now talking about? She had the opportunity for three and a half years,” Trump said during the phone interview with Fox, immediately after Harris’s speech. “She’s saying, ‘We’re going to do this, we’re going to do that,’ but none of it has been done. She could have taken action already.”

Trump suggested that Harris, as the current Vice President, could still make a difference before her term ends. “She could leave that auditorium tonight, go back to Washington, D.C., and secure the border. She doesn’t need a new bill. I did it without one, creating the safest border in our country’s history,” Trump claimed.
