George Stephanopoulos Caught in a Lie About Trump and Texas Floods – EVOL

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is back in the headlines — not for delivering news, but for spreading political misinformation in the wake of one of the deadliest disasters in Texas history.

Over the Fourth of July weekend, at least 100 people — including 14 children at a Christian girls’ summer camp — were killed by devastating flash floods along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas.

But instead of reporting facts or honoring the victims, Stephanopoulos used his Sunday show to politicize the tragedy, claiming the Trump administration’s funding decisions were to blame.

“We’re also learning there were significant staffing shortfalls to the National Weather Services offices in the region,” he said on ABC.
