George Soros & Beto O’Rourke Are Funding Democrats Fleeing Texas Over Redistricting – EVOL

Radical billionaire George Soros and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) are reportedly behind the financial support for the Texas Democrats who fled the state to prevent the House from voting on a new congressional redistricting map.

The controversial exodus, which involved roughly 50 Texas Democrats heading to New York and Illinois, is being funded through two major groups: O’Rourke’s Powered by People (PBP) and the Soros-backed Texas Majority PAC.

Powered by People, a group founded by O’Rourke, has played a significant role in financing the escape.

The organization covered airfare, lodging, and even the $500-per-day fines the lawmakers face for skipping the legislative session, according to The Texas Tribune.

Meanwhile, the Soros-backed Texas Majority PAC has been collaborating with national fundraising organizations to raise additional funds for the Democrats’ strategy to block the redistricting vote.

PBP is actively soliciting donations on its website, promising that “100% of your donation will go to supporting Texas Democrats in their fight against Trump’s power grab.”

Neither PBP nor Texas Majority PAC has issued a statement on the matter.
