Former Bill Clinton strategist Paul Begala has admitted that Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on President Joe Biden has dealt a significant blow to the Democrats.
As Slay News reported, Hur released his report on the special counsel’s investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents.
However, Hur concluded that pursuing charges against Biden would be fruitless because he’s an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
According to Hur, during interviews with the president, Biden couldn’t even remember the year his son Beau died.
Hur noted that the president couldn’t even give a ballpark within a few years for when Beau Biden died.
Because of this, Hur felt a jury would also see a frail and forgetful old man and fail to convict.
Begala, a current CNN political commentator, warns that the report is “terrible for Democrats.
During an appearance on CNN, Begala humorously remarked that he had a restless night’s sleep.
He joked that he “slept like a baby” – waking up every two hours crying and metaphorically “wetting the bed” due to his concern over Hur’s report on Biden’s handling of classified documents.

The report, which revealed that Biden had retained classified U.S. documents as a private
