The search for the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is ongoing three days after the Dec. 4 murder.
The FBI is offering up to $50,000 in reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman who killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Dec. 4.
This brings the total reward offered by law enforcement agencies to $60,000, following the New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) previous announcement of a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.In a statement, the FBI said on Friday it is assisting the NYPD in “seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown suspect” responsible for the killing of the 50-year-old.
Thompson was fatally shot by a masked assailant in what authorities believe to be a targeted attack. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the murder.
The incident occurred outside 1335 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at around 6:40 a.m. on Dec. 4, according to the FBI.
