Fani Willis’ Trial Takes Unexpected Turn as Rapper Young Thug’s Attorney Gets Arrested Mid-Trial – EVOL

Fani Willis’ YSL RICO trial took an unexpected turn on Monday when rapper Young Thug’s attorney was found in contempt of court and sent to jail during the trial.

Brian Steel, the lawyer representing Young Thug, also known as Jeffrey Williams, and other defendants in a complex RICO case, was jailed for contempt of court.

According to Law & Crime, Steel was allegedly held in contempt for refusing to disclose his source who informed him about the proceedings of a private hearing earlier in the day.

Judge Ural Glanville held Brian Steel in contempt for failing to reveal the source of a private discussion involving a witness and the State.

“I’m going to give you five minutes. If you don’t tell me who it is, I’m going to put you in contempt,” Judge Glanville said to Brian Steel.

“I don’t need five minutes,” Steel replied.

After a short recess, the judge gave the attorney one more chance.

“Mr. Steel, I’m going to ask you again. I need you to tell me how you got this information. This is so sacrosanct to have a conversation in my chambers parroted to you,” the judge said.
