Authorities in Florida have arrested a Palm Coast woman accused of posing as a registered nurse and providing medical care to thousands of patients despite lacking the credentials required to practice.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) announced that 29-year-old Autumn Bardisa was taken into custody at her residence, where she was wearing medical scrubs at the time of the arrest.
The sheriff’s office detailed the case in an official statement posted to its Facebook page.
Bardisa represented herself as a licensed nurse and administered medical care to more than 4,400 patients between June 2024 and January 2025, according to investigators.
Officials confirmed she did not hold a valid nursing license during that time.
Records show Bardisa began working at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway in July 2023.
Her employment ended in January 2025 after internal concerns about her qualifications and professional background surfaced.
The arrest followed a seven-month investigation involving state and federal health agencies.
AdventHealth administrators reported Bardisa allegedly assumed the identity of a registered nurse by using another person’s license number.
She also allegedly submitted fabricated documents to secure her position as an advanced nurse technician at the facility.
