The relationship began in February 1999 when Prince Andrew joined socialite Ghislaine Maxwell and her assistant Emmy Taylor for a private jet flight to Epstein’s Caribbean island.

Maxwell, daughter of deceased media baron Robert Maxwell, served as the crucial link between Andrew and Epstein.
Following her father’s mysterious death and the discovery of his massive pension fund thefts, Epstein reportedly provided Maxwell with over $30 million between 1999 and 2007 to restore her lavish lifestyle.
