Email Shows Senator Menendez’s Office Contacted a Hunter Biden Associate to request Joe Biden Host a Meeting rather Than Contacting the White House in 2010

The House Republican’s X account shared an email which shows an aide to U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) contacted Hunter Biden associate Eric Schwerin in 2010 to request that the then Vice President Joe Biden host the U.S. Spain Council’s 2010 meeting at his Naval Observatory residence. This revelation raises questions as to why the request wasn’t made through the White House.

Menendez and his wife were indicted Friday on federal bribery and extortion charges in connection to an investigation that has been going on for multiple years. Menendez is currently the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This is the second time Menendez has been charged with
