Elon Musk’s X Corp. Looks to Make Big Addition to Its Journalism Team by Hiring Catherine Herridge – EVOL

Elon Musk’s X Corp is considering hiring investigative journalist Catherine Herridge to lead the company’s investigation section, the New York Post reports.

Herridge was fired as CBS News’ senior investigative reporter in February, which spurred widespread concerns over the network’s lack of journalistic ethics. After abruptly terminating Herridge, the network confiscated her personal data.

The award-winning journalist was best known for her investigation of the Hunter Biden laptop incident. She was considered to be a star reporter that did hard-nosed journalism on a network that was known for politicizing news.

The Post stated that Herridge met with X CEO Linda Yaccarino earlier this month at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, DC, citing a person familiar with the subject.

X Corp responded in a statement to the outlet: “We are in discussions with many content creators who are interested in joining X in various ways. Catherine Herridge is a great journalist who strongly supports free speech.”

X has been aiming to collect a high-profile roster of journalists to bring to its platform, enabling former mainstream media journalists to tell the truth without having their freedom of expression hindered by corporate censors.
