Elon Musk has issued a statement revealing that his social media platform Twitter/X has been left with “no choice” but to sue the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for defamation.
Musk said his company will file a lawsuit against the ADL to clear the platform amid claims of antisemitism.
The ADL is a far-left organization that claims to be combatting “defamation of the Jewish people.”
However, the ADL labels everything that conflicts with its own political views as “hate” and demands to have it censored.
Musk’s legal threats come after the president of the ADL, Jonathan Greenblatt, met with X CEO Linda Yaccarino on Friday to discuss so-called “hate” on the platform.
The ADL has publicly denounced X in posts on the social media platform.
The organization alleges that Musk has allowed antisemitic groups to “organize and share propaganda” on the platform.
Musk now says the ADL has forced his hand over the claims.
“To clear our platform’s name on the matter of anti-Semitism, it looks like we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League … oh the irony!” Musk tweeted.
