Doctors ‘Euthanized’ Woman by Suffocating Her with a Pillow, Family ‘Heard Screaming’

A terminally ill Belgian woman was suffocated with a pillow while being legally “euthanized” by doctors, according to reports.

Family members said they “heard screaming” as 36-year-old Alexina Wattiez was undergoing the “assisted suicide” procedure.

In 2021, Wattiez was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

As they broke the devasting news, doctors told her she would not survive another year.

By the spring of 2022, Wattiez’s health had deteriorated to the point that she chose Belgium’s controversial euthanasia program.

She chose to end her life in what she hoped would be a more peaceful, less painful, and more dignified way to die.

As Slay News has reported, Belgium is one of several nations to legalize and expand its euthanasia laws.

Belgium has already euthanized 27,000 citizens since legalizing “assisted suicide” in 2002.

The law allows patients suffering from untreatable or unbearable physical or psychological conditions to choose to end their lives.

However, other countries such as Canada and the Netherlands have continued to expand their laws to include patients with a wide range of treatable issues such as depression and even homelessness.
