Fitness influencer and fraudster “Liver King” was arrested in Texas after posting a series of bizarre social media videos, in one of which he challenged Joe Rogan to fight as he traveled to the popular podcaster’s home state.
Brian Johnson, 47, known across social media as the “Liver King,” faces a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat and was booked into the Travis County Jail in Austin at 8:31 p.m. Tuesday, online records show.
Johnson, who gained his following by promoting his barbarian-like diet, was confirmed as the suspect who was nabbed in Rogan’s home city, according to KXAN, citing sources.
Further details of his arrest are not known.
The podcaster moved to Austin in 2020 after leaving California during the pandemic and lives in a massive, $14.4 million home, according to Realtor.
Johnson, wearing a burgundy hoody, sweatpants and an old-school tactical vest, is captured in handcuffs and placed in the back of a patrol car in front of what appears to be a hotel as his wife, Bozena “Barbara” Johnson, looks on, footage posted to the influencer’s Instagram page showed.
