A group of liberal protesters was forcibly removed from the U.S. Capitol building Wednesday afternoon following a coordinated demonstration against President Donald Trump’s new legislative initiative, the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
Capitol Police detained multiple individuals after they staged a protest in a public corridor within the building.
The protesters targeted Trump’s proposal, which they claim threatens healthcare access for low-income communities and the elderly.
Supporters of the bill argue it will streamline government services and cut bureaucratic waste.
Footage aired by Fox News and widely shared on social media platforms showed demonstrators chanting slogans and refusing to comply with police instructions.
Several participants lay on the floor in an apparent act of civil disobedience, forcing officers to drag them from the area.
Many wore coordinated t-shirts reading “Healthcare Cuts Will Kill” and carried professionally printed banners denouncing the bill.
