Candace Owens revealed Wednesday that she has been hit with a lawsuit by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
The Macrons accuse Owens of defamation for saying Brigitte was born male and other claims they allege amount to a global smear campaign.
“I wake up, I stretch, I have a cup of coffee, and then I am served with a lawsuit,” Owens said on her podcast.
Macron Brings in Dominion’s Law Firm
The couple filed a 219-page complaint in Delaware federal court. They are represented by Clare Locke, the same law firm that helped Dominion Voting Systems sue Fox News.
The complaint accuses Owens of launching a campaign of “global humiliation” and demands unspecified damages—both actual and punitive.
“This was really a last resort,” said attorney Tom Clare. He claimed they spent a year trying to settle the matter privately.
What the Lawsuit Alleges
The complaint includes 99 pages of factual allegations and 22 counts of defamation and false light.
