BREAKING: Trump Nominates Fox News Host For Secretary Of Defense – EVOL

In a Truth Social post Tuesday evening, President-elect Donald Trump formally announced that he will be looking outside the box for the key position of Defense Secretary.

The president-elect that longtime Fox News host Pete Hegseth will be his nominee for Secretary of Defense. Hegseth, 44, served as a platoon commander in the War on Terror while serving with the Minnesota National Guard.

“I am honored to announce that I have nominated Pete Hegseth to serve in my Cabinet as The Secretary of Defense,” Trump announced in a Truth Social post. “Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First. With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice – Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down…”

In an accompanying press release, the president-elect praised Hegseth for his distinguished military service record, which includes tours in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. “For his actions on the battlefield, he was decorated with two Bronze Stars, as well as a Combat Infantryman’s badge,” Trump noted.

He further praised Hegseth for his work to support combat veterans, as well as his active role in condemning political and military leadership for the mishandling of the wars
