2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plane was forced to land in Billings, Montana Friday afternoon due to a mechanical issue. Trump is scheduled to hold a Friday night rally in Bozeman, which is around 120 miles away by air.
According to KTVH, Billings Airport said that Trump’s plane landed there after the issue. He is now expected to take a private plane to Bozeman’s airport. Secret Service will be doing a sweep of the airport before that takes place.
Trump is set to hold a rally in Bozeman’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University at 8 pm local time. Scheduled to be at the event is Tim Sheehy, who Trump has endorsed for Montana US Senate.
In a video, Trump said he has a “very high rating in Montana,” and “a lot of popularity, I like them, they like me.” He said he was in the state to do some fundraisers and to support Sheehy in his race. Trump said the Friday night rally will be “a lot of fun,” and Saturday would bring “different stops” in “different states.”
