Whistleblowers state that the agency’s stuck with low morale, no resources, and a disaster response as slow as a highway during 5 o’clock traffic.
Nearly 200 dead, scores missing—and FEMA’s running out of excuses to not help those in need.
It was Matt Gaetz, Florida Representative, that wrote a letter to Alejandro Mayorkas, stating that whistleblowers had contacted his office.
He writes that hundreds, “if not thousands” of FEMA agents have been deployed to North Carolina.
And you know what they’re doing (other than confiscating donations and stopping people trying to help) ?
They’re just sitting in hotels, waiting for their marching orders.
Hope those hotels still get cable service.
I’d sure hate for those agents to get bored while people suffer all around them.

BREAKING: FEMA whistleblowers have come forward alleging that the agency misappropriated funds in the wake of Helene, withheld pre-disaster aid, and that first responders and service members have been waiting in hotels without deployment orders. pic.twitter.com/uf0XrspRTz
